Hermon Couple Indicted for Robbery, Theft

The Penobscot County grand jury indicted Wednesday a husband and wife from Hermon accused of stealing from a landlord, along with stealing an SUV and injuring the owner of the vehicle. 21-year-old Brianna Stein is charged with receiving stolen property, robbery, reckless conduct and driving to endanger. Her husband, 21-year-old Maxwell Stein, is charged with burglary, theft and robbery. In September, the two were accused of stealing $80,000 worth of jewelry and other items from a landlord.Police say last month they stole a vehicle at the corner of Ohio and Court Streets. The owner jumped on top of it, but police say Brianna Stein accelerated, then slammed on the brakes and sent the victim flying. The person was not seriously injured.
