Updated 2 years ago

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office say one person was killed and another was injured in a single-car crash in Naples. It happened around 11 p.m. Friday. Sheriff’s officials say the car failed to negotiate a curve on Harrison Road and struck a tree at a high rate of speed. The driver, Joshua Bonnell of Haverhill, Mass. who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, Bonnell’s younger brother, Austin, who was wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the vehicle suffered two broken legs and concussion. The crash remains under investigation. Sheriff’s officials say a preliminary investigation has found that speed, but not alcohol, was a factor in the crash.
