Federal Authorities Searching for Former Top Drug Prosecutor on the Run 

A former top drug prosecutor convicted of possessing child pornography is now on the run and wanted by federal authorities. James Cameron was released from federal prison pending an appeal of his case.The U.S. Marshals Service says he was on a court-ordered electronic monitoring device but last Wednesday, he cut off his monitor and disappeared.That’s the same day a federal appeals court upheld some of the convictions against Cameron, who was sentenced to 16 years in prison. Since six of the counts against him were vacated, the case was set to go back to federal court in Maine for resentencing or for a new trial.Federal authorities say Cameron was last seen in Hallowell driving a Tan 1999 Audi A6, with a Maine license plate of 2333PL.
