A call center in Orono is looking to hire 4-hundred people to help out people hit by Hurricane Sandy.Nexxlinx of Maine is working with FEMA to set up a contact center for disaster victims to call. They’ll be able to find out about federal disaster assistance and other relief programs. The jobs are immediate and will last as long as FEMA needs help.Officials say that could be anywhere from two to twelve weeks or long. Qualifications are: Agents need to be 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and pass customary background and credit checks. Bi-lingual (Spanish) ability is a plus. Agent salary is $11.69/hour plus $3.71 additional for Health and Welfare for a total of $15.40/hour.
