Dedham Middle School Students Design Halloween Mini-Golf Course
Middle schoolers in Dedham had a spooky surprise for their younger friends today. The students are learning golf in physical education, so the teenagers developed a Halloween-themed mini-golf course for their pre-kindergarten through fifth grade counterparts. Their teacher figured it was the perfect opportunity to let them show off their creative side. “Well, the middle school students have been participating in a golf unit in PE,” said physical education teacher, Tim Pearson. “As part of that they learn to putt. We thought it was a great time to have them use the putting skills in a little more creative situation and being Halloween, make it fun for the younger kids.”Those middle-schoolers had a full class period to design the course, splitting up into groups to design each hole. They spent another day setting up the course.
