Lincoln’s Interim Town Manager Looks at the Budget Shortfall 

In the past month, the town of Lincoln has faced budget issues and fired their Town manager.Now, the Interim Town Manager, Bill Lawrence says he’s making things right.Lincoln’s council chair said the former town manager, told the about the town’s $1.5 million dollar budget shortfall before he told the council and before Maine Municipal Audit Services finished their annual review of the budget.Lawrence says the two errors found by the auditor leads to a $1 million short fall and that no money is missing. The Interim Manager said Department Managers cut more than $400,000 from the budget, but it still needs final approval from the town council.
