UMaine Agrees To Contract Extension With Baseball Coach Steve Trimper
The UMaine baseball team has seen a lot of success over the last seven years. Two America East titles, two NCAA appearances, a new practice facilty, and it’s all happened under the watch of coach Steve Trimper.This week, the school making sure the Black Bear coach will be around for a little longer. Trimper and UMaine agreeing to a three-year contract extension. That means he’ll lead the Black Bears through the 2016 season. Trimper has been the head coach in Orono since 2005, going 204-178-2 since then on the diamond. He told us over the phone tonight that he’s very happy to be sticking around for at least a few more years.
