Eastern Maine Community College Hosts Stiles Manufacturing

The Eastern Maine Community College wood working program hosted an open house for Stiles machinery on Wednesday.Stiles is the world’s largest independent distributor of equipment for processing a variety of construction materials.They’re a longtime partner of the school.Representatives from Styles brought some of their new equipment for students and local manufacturing employers to take a look at.”Its a wonderful opportunity for the students to actually meet with the people who produce and sell this equipment, a good chance for the employees to meet and find out what type of relationship that is between industry and students and employees and what the employees are looking for, what’s out there for high end new machinery for the employer,” said Lester Stackpole, an educator and department leader at EMCC. Stiles machinery is based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan with regional locations in North Carolina, Texas, and California.
