Rising Sun Mega Yacht Stops in Bar Harbor

One of the world’s largest private yachts is visiting Bar Harbor. The 453-foot Rising Sun has been anchored off Bar Harbor for several days and is expected to stay another day or two. The Bangor Daily News says the yacht is owned by billionaire media mogul David Geffen of Malibu, Calif. The yacht, originally built for Larry Ellison, the head of software company Oracle Corp., is five stories high with 82 rooms and cost more than $200 million to build. It made a port visit to Portland late last month.
