The rain on Saturday made it a perfect day to snuggle up with a good book. The Bangor Public Library held its 6th Annual Book Festival Saturday morning. Authors, who are all relevant to Maine, came to read from their books and talk with other writers. There were even some children’s illustrators for the kids. The Director of the Bangor Public Library, Barbara McDade, said she loves this event, “Just the excitement of what you can find in books, whether it’s non-fiction on how to do something, or fiction on real ideas.”Author of “August Gale” and “Sammy in the Sky,” Barbara Walsh, said “I usually tell people, ‘you have stories in your family, If you’re not an author, you can still write them, share them, and I think we all love a good story.’”For more information you can log onto BangorBookFest.org
