Holden “CHEFS” Food Pantry Opens

A new food pantry opened its doors in Holden on Wednesday night. The pantry known as “CHEFS” will provide food support for the communities of Clifton, Holden, and Eddington. CHEFS will be open every thursday night and sunday afternoon.A group of local volunteers will staff the pantry.The funds to build it were provided by Chuck Lawrence who owns the Tradewinds Markets. He says he’s just doing his part. “It is tough economic times for everybody right now and we’ve been fortunate enough to have good business and some success and we feel like we need to take care of our neighbors,” says Lawrence.CHEFS food pantry is located behind the middle school in Holden at 202 Kidder Hill Road.
