Manna Holds Harvest Fundraiser for Ann’s House in Bangor 

The folks at Manna are trying to keep one of their programs going…Ann’s House is a shelter for homeless mothers and children.The first Harvest Fundraiser for Ann’s House takes place this Friday.There will be dinner, dancing, a silent auction and prizes.Proceeds from the auction will go directly to the shelter.Among the items up for grabs are a signed Boston Bruins puck and a pair of round trip train tickets to Boston.The shelter gets no state funding.”It’s imperative, not just to Manna, but it’s imperative to the mom’s an kids that they have some place to go. We have a waiting list of over 40 moms right now and we can only house, we only can house four families at a time, but we need your help to keep it going,” said Manna Executive Director, Bill Rae.Tickets for the Ann’s House Harvest Fundraiser are on sale now for $15 per person, $25 for couples, and $100 for a table.The fun begins Friday night at 6 p.m. at the Elks Lodge on Odlin Road in Bangor.You can stop by Manna at 629 Main Street in Bangor, for tickets.
