A plan to build a 22-million gallon propane gas tank in Searsport could take another step forward Monday night. The town’s planning board is expected to determine if the application from the Colorado-based company in charge of the project is complete. The head of the board says once all of the paperwork for the $40 million plan is turned in to the town, a series of public hearings will be scheduled. DCP Midstream wants to build a 137-foot tall gas terminal at Mack Point. The project has drawn opposition, with some people in the area concerned about safety and the impact on tourism. We’re told public hearings could begin as soon as the end of November. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at Union Hall.
