Cruise Ship Tender Runs Aground

A tender for the “Norwegian Dawn” hit bar island ledge at low tide.It happened around 7:45 in the evening.93 people and 2 crew members were on board the tender at the time. A whale watch boat and lobster boat in the area helped take passengers back to the cruise ship.The coast guard was called out to help as well.No one was hurt, but the shuttle boat was damaged.We’re told it is now on dry dock.The Norwegian Dawn left Bar Harbor with all of its passengers last night.
