Bangor Police Officer Retires After Twenty Five Years

The Bangor Police Department said farewell Thursday to a long time member.Officer Stephen Jordan retired today after twenty-five years on the job.Friends, family, and co-workers gathered to celebrate his time with Bangor PD.Jordan specialized in drunk driving enforcement, was a drug recognition expert, and a crash reconstructionist.He’s credited with saving three lives during his time on the force.He told us what it was like to close this chapter of his life after being with the department all those years.”It’s a long time. A long time. A lot of things have changed, the city has changed. It’s a good experience. I’m glad I did it and I’m glad I can move on to something different,” says Jordan.Jordan is moving on to the medical field and pursuing a second career as a nurse.He tells us working as an EMT in high school then working in public safety drove him in that direction.
