UPDATE: Three Pharmacy Robberies In Two Hours in Bangor and Brewer

Three pharmacy robberies took place in just under two hours Sunday afternoon.The Rite Aid on Wilson Street in Brewer and the Rite Aid on Union and 14th Streets in Bangor were both hit around 3:45 p.m. Bangor Police say the suspect in the Union Street Rite Aid robbery fled. They later caught 46-year-old Jeffrey Macy of Eastbrook in his gold 1995 Pontiac. Officer Jim Dearing inserted the push bar on the front of his police car into Macy’s car. He is charged with robbery and numerous other charges. He remains in Penobscot County Jail. This is the third time that Rite Aid has been robbed. Then around 5:00 p.m., police believe the Hannaford on Union Street in Bangor was also targeted. Captain Jason Moffitt of the Brewer Police Department said Maine State Police, the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, and officers from Holden and Orrington are searching for at least one other suspect.Capt. Moffitt said, “We are looking for a suspect, possibly 5’4″ – 5’6″ in height, possibly in his 30’s.
