Updated 2 years ago

This years Old Town River fest drew a huge crowd, and no one was left “Brokenhearted”The band Karmin were the Grand Marshalls in today’s parade, led by member, Nick Noonan, who is an Old Town native. Noonan graduated from Old Town High School in 2004, before hitting it big with his now finance and musical partner, Amy Heidemann.Fans came out and sang their song “brokenhearted” as they went through the parade route. The band is becoming more and more popular, especially after Heidemann recently appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone for the “women who rock” issue, but they say they won’t forget their roots. The Noonan and Heidemann say, “This was the first time, the first place Karmin ever performed in Maine. Our first gig was Riverfest 2010, so it’s always important to come home and it was an excuse to come home and hang out.”Even though the band liked being back in Maine for a few days, they will be traveling yet again. They are working on their new album which should be released this November.
