Old Town High School students got a glimpse into their futures Wednesday. The school held it’s Fifth Annual Passport to Your Future Career and College Fair.Representatives from about 30 different colleges, military branches, and businesses were on hand to answer questions.Organizers say it’s important for students to develop a plan for after graduation. Some already have a pretty good idea of what they want to do.”Well actually, I’m already enlisted in the army, but it’s always good to explore my secondary options, ” said Andrew Brothers, a senior at Old Town High School.”Well. I definitely know that I want to be a nurse in the future and I think I’m looking at UMaine or UMaine Fort Kent, because I know they have a good nursing program and I’ve gone and had a private tour of UMaine. Pretty interested,” said Kelsey Gifford, a senior at Old Town High School. The fair was a great chance for students to make connections that may help them in their future.TV5 also took part, showing students what it’s like to work in the news business.
