In just a few days, Bangor’s team for the Fireball Run Adventure Rally will begin their journey.On Monday, the car they’ll be travelling in was unveilled at Quirk Chevrolet.Timber Tina Scheer of the Maine Lumberjack Show and Maine Office of Tourism Director Carolann Ouellette will be driving a Chevy Traverse from Independence, Ohio back to Bangor.Fireball Run is a reality film series, where 40 teams travel across the country competing in different events, while bringing awareness to missing children. During the 2,500 mile trip, the Bangor Riverdiver team will be sharing Ayla Reynolds’ story. She’s the toddler reported missing in Waterville 9 months ago.The team is also excited to bring more attention to the Bangor area.”It’s about bragging rights maybe, but it’s the experience, they said love the experience, enjoy the experience and I think we’re perfect for that job. We’re going to have a lot of fun,” said Scheer.Oullette said, “I agree and I think, you know, the whole concept of having the finish line city be downtown Bangor and the Bangor area at the end of September, it’s perfect.”The competition begins on Friday in Ohio.
