Bangor Humane Society Half Way to Reaching Goal for ASPCA Rachael Ray Challenge

Updated 2 years ago

The staff at the Bangor Humane Society is half way to reaching a big goal of theirs. On Monday, the shelter had its 600th adoption since August 1. It’s competing in the ASPCA Rachael Ray Challenge to try to win $100,000. The humane society is trying to adopt out 1,200 pets by the end of October.”I think we can do it. We just need people to continue adopting. If you have one cat, consider maybe a friend for that cat, same for the dogs. It is a hefty goal, but we’re confident that we can do it. If we get at least the minimum of 1200, we’re guarenteed $5,000, which would go a long way here as well,” said Stacey Coventry, Volunteer and Public Relations Manager at the Bangor Humane Society.Leading up to the October deadline, The humane society is hosting several events to get more animals adopted before the October deadline.
