Old Navy Stores Help to Keep Children Safe

A child is reported missing every 40 seconds in the United States, now one major clothing change wants to reduce that number.Old Navy Stores around the country are holding “Safety Fairs.” The chain teamed up with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to give out safety packs to families who shop at the store. This is the 3rd Old Navy has participated in the event and the 2nd year the Bangor store joined in. The free safety kits include all types of information parents and children should read over for their own safety. Old Navy Service and Training Manager ,Sarah Alley, said “Online safety tops, what to do and what not to do online. There are also child identification cards lets parents know they should keep an up to date photo and information incase anything happens to them.”The Bangor store will also give out safety kids tomorrow. Shoppers can also receive a 10% discount if they donate $5.Alley says this year they’ve already raised about $500.
