Democratic Candidate for Senate Makes Campaign Stop in Bangor
Democratic candidate for Senate Cynthia Dill made a campaign stop in Bangor Thursday. Dill spoke before the members of the group, Bangor Fusion. She also took questions about a range of topics, like jobs, the economy and a new national park in the Northern Maine woods. Dill says she supports a feasibility study about the idea of turning 70,000 acres near Baxter State Park into another national park. She’s also willing to explore the concept of a new East-West highway in Maine. “I don’t believe we should be spending public money to fund a private highway. But I do support the building of infrastructure. So if we do need a highway, we should collectively come together and built it.”Dill also talked how she believes she’ll be able to reach across the aisle and work collaboratively with colleagues, if she’s sent to Washington.
