How would your kids like to check out a whole bunch of trucks? They can, this weekend. For the second year, Camp CaPella is hosting a Touch-a-Truck Fair at the Cole Land Transportation Museum in Bangor. There will be excavators, bucket trucks, fire trucks, police cars, and many more vehicles on display. Kids and adults can sit in the trucks and learn more about them. ” You’re gonna be able to see vehicles and trucks of yesteryear, along with all the vehicles of today,” said Dana Mosher, executive director of Camp CaPella. ” It’s gonna be their opportunity to come down and climb through police cars, climb all over fire trucks, try on equipment. We’re gonna have some of our tactical gear here that children are going to be able to try on and, ya know what, it’s gonna be fun for the parents to see this stuff also and participate,” added Sgt. William Sheehan with the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office. The Touch-a-Truck Fair is Saturday from 11am to 3pm at Cole Land Transportation Museum. It costs $5 per person or $20 per family. Admission also gets you in to the museum. All of the money raised goes to help kids with disabilities attend Camp CaPella in Dedham. For more information on Camp CaPella click here.
