Bucksport Regional Health Center Debuts $2.5 Million Addition

The Bucksport Regional Health Center is debuting its $2.5 million expansion. On Wednesday night, the medical center held an open house so folks could tour the facility and meet some of the doctors and staff. The addition is $7,500 square feet. We’re told with this addition and another addition back in 2009, the facility can now offer dental and mental health services, as well as to the medical services it’s been providing for decades. “We are getting more toward being a wellness center, so we really hope that people will look to us to work with them, get to know them, and not work on curing problems that they may incur, but actually to work with them to stay healthy,” said Donald Johnson, President of the Bucksport Regional Health Center. This addition was paid for with federal grant money. The center, located on Broadway in Bucksport, serves about 8,000 patients in the Bucksport region.
