Old Town Woman Pleads Guilty in Connection with Matt Stairs Home Burglary
A husband and wife from Old Town are charged in connection with a string oFhome burglaries, including the Bangor home of former Major League baseball player Matt Stairs28-year-old Andrea Bouchard pleaded guilty Monday to receiving stolen property from Stairs’ home. District Attorney Chris Almy says was responsible for pawning some of the items that were taken in June. She also admitted to two counts of burglary and theft involving homes in Milford and Kenduskeag.34-year-old Jamie Bouchard is charged with burglary in the Stairs case as well as burglary and theft in the other homes, too. He’s in jail on 30-thousand dollars bail, accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and selling it.Stairs was away in New Brunswick, at the time of the burglary, being inducted into the Province’s Hall of Fame. Most the items stolen were jewelry, including some of Stair’s League Championship rings, but not his World Series ring. Andrea Bouchard is now waiting to be sentenced.
