Updated 2 years ago

Beal College in Bangor is adding a new program.College officials announced the addition of a Welding Technology program at a press conference this morning. The nationally accredited Associate degree program has fifty-six spots available. It’s scheduled to begin at the end of October.School officials feel the demand for a welding program of this kind is something many people in the area have been looking for.”There’s such a high number of these students that are in the high school programs that there’s not enough room for them in post-secondary education so it’s going to be great to get more of those students in and take them even further,” said the welding program’s director, Jesse Crosby.”It’s a pretty high demand thing, like trying to apply at other schools and get a job, and they’re pretty cut short, because everyone wants it,” commented Elizabeth Richards, a student in the program. “So getting in here would be awesome to get me up and going.”If you are interested in applying for the program, do it soon. You can find out more on how to apply by logging on to www.bealcollege.edu.
