Greenbush Woman Describes Brutal Attack After Two Men Broke Into her Home
A woman from Greenbush says two men broke into her home early Monday morning and brutally beat her in front of her children. One man has since been charged with the crime.Marcia Fieger says she was asleep around 1:00 AM on Monday when two men broke into her trailer on East Ridge Road.She says they were spraying a fire extinguisher and mace as they moved toward her, then beat her with the extinguisher and a tire iron. Fieger says her two children, ages five and three, watched it all happen.She says she made it outside, where she was pinned to the ground and asked where she kept her money and prescriptions.”As I was on the ground, he was just beating me and punching me at full force and choking me and beating my body and smothering my face to try to get me to shut up, because I was screaming, ‘Help me, help me, help me!’ and begging them just to please stop,” said Fieger.With help from neighbors, Fieger and her kids got away, but the two men fled the scene.Fieger was treated at a local hospital for her injuries.Police say just after 6:00 AM, they arrested 23-year-old Nicholas Hutchinson of Medway. He’s charged with elevated aggravated assault and robbery and is being held at the Penobscot County jail.Members of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office along with Old Town and State Police spent most of the day investigating.They are currently searching for a second suspect.Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Bill Flagg in CID at 947-4585.
