Bangor Waterfront Prepares for Three Concerts in Three Days
Organizers of the Waterfront Concerts in Bangor are preparing for a huge holiday weekend – with three major concerts in three days. Crews started setting up for the back-to-back-to-back events Thursday, but they’ve been planning them for weeks. They’ve never had this kind of turn around.Waterfront Concerts president Alex Gray says he’s expecting 36,000 to 40,000 people on the waterfront from Friday night to Sunday night. He’s even hired two security companies to cover the crowds.”We have a period where we’re going to move fencing so we have a whole overnight crews that will come in. we’ve got a huge janitorial and maintenance crew. A trash company will come several times over the weekend and help us out, so it’s definitely all hands on deck. It’s going to be tens of thousands of man hours spent and we’re very excited.”The first concert is Friday night with Big Time Rush, Saturday night it’s Keith Urban and David Nail and then Sunday is an all-day music fest, featuring with Jason Aldean.Gray says Sunday is on track to be the single biggest one-day ticketed event in the state this year.
