Bangor Bomb Squad Removes Grenade with Live Primer from Orono Home

The Bangor Police bomb squad removed a grenade with a live primer Sunday from a house on Orono. It came just two days after a rusty grenade was found on Lamoine Beach.Bangor Police Sergeant Paul Edwards says the grenade in Orono was discovered by a person cleaning a house on Forest Avenue. He says the drilled out device was a dud, but it still had an active primer. The bomb squad was called in as a precaution to remove it.
