Rollover Crash Leaves Calais Man in Serious Condition
A man from Calais was in serious condition Tuesday morning following a single car crash along Rt. 9.34-year old Steven Gibson was driving in Township 22 around 12:45 a.m. when police said he lost control of his van and rolled over. According to authorities, Gibson was headed west in a 2003 Ford Econoline van when he began to drift across the road, onto the opposite shoulder. In an effort to veer back on course, police said Gibson over-corrected himself, causing the van to skid back across the street and overturn.Officials said he was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car. Emergency responders found Gibson unconscious at the scene, and called for LifeFlight to transport him to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
