New Bangor Food Truck Offers Sell-Out Meals
They say they make heavenly food – with a little spice of the devil. And food lovers in the Greater Bangor area can’t seem to get enough it.Ceilo’s – which means “heaven” in Spanish – is a Mexican Grill food truck that’s been in business for a couple of weeks now. Kirsten Pilot, who’s originally from Germany, came up with the idea in February. She put her husband, Chris, to work on it, too. Six days a week, the Pilots serve fresh Mexican food from the truck, which moves around the city.Even though they’ve only been open a short while, they sell out every day and even have to turn customers away. Chris Pilot says, “We were thinking a person or two and then a five minute break and maybe another person or two, but up to this point, it’s just been lines, lines and lines. This is very surprising for us.”Kirsten Pilot adds, “It’s crazy! It’s so much fun, it’s a good business to be in. And it’s tough work but we love to do that.”Kirsten says she came up with idea for Cielo’s by combining her background in business and restaurant work with her passion for cooking. So far you can find the food truck in three locations – in the Kmart parking lot on Hogan Road, outside Sam’s Club and outside Bacon Printing on Outer Hammond. You can find out where they’ll be each week by logging on to www.cielostruck.com
