Rodeo Raising Money for Gas Cards for Patients

Updated 2 years ago

Muttin’ bustin’ and bull riding will help local cancer patients. Members of an organization called Hoofs-N-Hearts raise money for gas cards for patients. In September they’ll team up with Sebasticook Family Doctors and Katahdin Trail Saddlery to host a rodeo. All money raised will be used for gas cards. For many of the people involved, it’s quite personal. ” When I was younger my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and I went every single day with her to radiation and we just saw how much it was costing to fill up the gas tank every day. Now that I saw her struggle I really wanted to help others with their struggles,” said Samantha Brawn, co-founder of Hoofs-N-Hearts. ” It feels pretty great to know that we’re doing something that we love and we’re getting money and we’re giving back to people who need it,” added Chelsie Oldfield, co-founder of Hoofs-N_Hearts. The rodeo is Saturday, September 22, at Maple Lane Farms in Charleston. Tickets are $5 per person or $15 per familiy.
