Teenage Girl Rescued on Appalachian Trail 

The Maine Warden service rescued a teenage girl this weekend.The service says a 16 year old girl had to be carried two miles after injuring herself while hiking the Appalachian trail in northern Maine.The Wisconsin girl had hurt her ankle while hiking with a group of 11 girls on a portion of the trail known as the 100-mile wilderness.The girls camped for the night before a rescue team met up with them on Saturday morning.Authorities say it took rescuers four hours to bring the girl to safety before taking her to a Greenville hospital.Officials have not released the girl’s name.
