In Jackman, a confrontation with police ended with a man shot and killed, and a border patrol agent shot and wounded. A woman tells TV 5 News she left a home and called for an ambulance for a man still inside the residence. The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office called the border patrol to help out. Border patrol agents say after identifying themselves and entering the home, the man inside fired shots at them, so they returned fire. Border agents then left the building. The Maine State Police Tactical Team entered the home and found a man inside dead. The medical examiner says Charles Robinson, 75, died of a gunshot wound to the chest. The death is classified by the medical examiner as a homicide. The border patrol agent was treated at a local hospital and released.
