Casting Call in Bangor Draws Dozens of Mainers
Dozens of mainers came out saturday for their shot on the big screen.Award-winning filmmakers came to bangor saturday to find stars for their newest film, Blue Potato.Young and old actors came to the Gracie Theatre at Husson University for their shot for a role in the coming of age drama.The movie will take place in northern Maine, where two teenage boys raise money to chase their dreams after high school. The film makers are looking for everything from speaking roles to extras for their scenes.But what they really want is an authenic mainer. Who have something they give that we can look at and see and hopefully we can help develop somebody’s career.”Four more casting calls will take place before filming begins. One in Portland and three more in Aroostook County.Most of the filming will take place in Van Buren. Filming will start in August and wrap up at the end of September.
