Patten Man Dies While Working at Mount Rainier National Park
A park ranger from Patten died while working at Mount Rainier National Park in Washington state. Nick Hall, 34, was helping to rescue climbers on Thursday. According to park officials, Hall was helping evacuate climbers by helicopter near the summit of the 14,411-foot mountain when he fell more than 3,000 feet and died.. He was originally from Patten, and was a four-year veteran of the park’s climbing program.
