A man and woman from Ellsworth are facing felony drug trafficking charges. Julie Edwards, 47, and Patrick Jordan, 43, are charged with unlawful trafficking in Oxycodone. Drug agents searched Jordan’s car Wednesday in Ellsworth and reportedly found nearly 90 Oxycodone pills and more than $4,000 in cash. Agents say they became aware that Jordan was scheduled to meet with Edwards in the parking lot of Jaspers Motel on High Street to take possession of drugs he had already purchased. Agents put the area under surveillance and once the pair met and separated, MDEA Agents and Ellsworth police stopped Jordan’s vehicle and searched it. If convicted, they face a maximum of ten years in prison. Drug agents say more charges could be coming. The Maine Office of the Attorney General will be reviewing the case for prosecution.
