Another person has died on Maine roads, this time it happened in Madison. Police say a motorcycle collided with an SUV at around 8:30 this morning.According to police, 45-year-old Michael Dyer Jr. of Skowhegan died when the motorcycle he was driving crashed into an SUV driven by a 17-year-old boy.It happened at the intersection of the White Schoolhouse Road and the Blackwell Hill Road in Madison.Police say the young driver of the SUV didn’t see the motorcycle driven by Dyer until it was too late. “Basically what happened is the SUV was turning left onto Blackwell Hill Road, did not see the motorcycle, and failed to yield. And the motorcycle struck the SUV right on the passenger side door,” said Corporal Ritchie Putnam of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.Putnam said Dyer was not wearing a helmet. The accident remains under investigation.
