A car crash in Bucksport closed Route 15 for a time Thursday morning.Police tell TV5 that a southbound car struck a telephone poll and rolled into a ditch, coming to rest on its roof.A man and woman were in the car that the time, the woman was pinned under the vehicle. “Her upper body was pinned under the front corner of the vehicle and from her chest down, she was stuck inside the vehicle,” Said Bucksport Fire Chief Craig Bowden. “So, extracation took a little bit of care.”Rescue crew had to use the jaws of life and other equipment to get her free. It took them about two hours to do so.She was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.”We came out and I helped direct traffic, keep people from the power lines (that) were down on the road,” Said Dwight Knapp, who lives near the crash site. “We had to turn everybody around.”The crash closed Route 15 to all traffic for a couple of hours.Route 15, known as the River Road in Bucksport was re-opened to traffic at 8:30 Thursday morning.A reconstructions team has been called in to determine how the crash occurred.
