Hermon Man Who Fatally Shot Intruder Arrested for Selling Drugs

A man from Hermon who shot and killed another man accused of breaking into his apartment has been arrested and charged with selling drugs. Daniel Williams, 25, was arrested Thursday night following a grand jury indictment.He’s charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs. The Penobscot County Sheriff’s office say the case is a result of an investigation that started February 16th. That’s the same day Williams shot Robert Dellairo, 30, and Philip McIntyre, 19, both of Bangor, with a handgun when they entered his apartment. Dellario died later that day at the hospital. McIntyre was shot in the leg and recovered.Authorities are still investigating the shooting.Williams posted $5,000 bail and was released Thursday night. He’s scheduled to be arraigned July 19th.
