One of the bright young basketball players in the state of Maine is already making a commitment for her future. Parise Rossignol of Van Buren has made a verbal commitment to play college ball at the University of Maine. This according to her father, Matt Rossignol, her coach at Van Buren High School and a former standout himself for the Black Bears. Parise is just finishing up her sophomore year, but she’s already tearing up the court. She averaged almost 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists this past winter, and has already passed the 1000 point mark in her career. She told Tim Throckmorton back in February that she’d “love to” play at UMaine.
