Crash in Trenton Kills Two, Sends Three to Hospital

Two people were killed in a crash in Trenton Sunday night.Shortly after 7 p-m police received a report of a crash on Oak Point Road.Police said that a vehicle travelling south along the road crossed the center line, striking an oncoming vehicle.The southbound car then proceeded off the road, striking an embankment, rolled, and struck two large trees.Authorities said none of the vehicle’s occupants were wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the car during the crash.The driver, 23-year-old Joseph White of Trenton, and a passenger, 22-year-old James Crawford of Otis, were killed.Another passenger, Ali Gray of Trenton was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.The driver and passenger of the other vehicle both sustained minor injuries in the collision.The accident remains under investigation.
