No New Contract Between Union Nurses and EMMC 

A bargaining session between union nurses at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor and hospital officials ended without an agreement on a new contract. Both sides met with a mediator Wednesday morning. EMMC officials say they restated their final offer and union representatives didn’t respond. The nurses held an informational picket outside the hospital Tuesday.They say two major sticking points for them are increases in staff and security.Hospital officials said they’ve already added staff in high need areas and they continue to work to improve security.Another bargaining day has not been set yet.
