State Police say a logging truck driver swerved to avoid a deer and ended up overturning on the highway in Burnham early Friday morning. 38-year-old Joseph Paradis of Millinocket was injured the wreck. He’s in fair condition at Eastern Maine Medical Center with rib injuries and cuts to his face.Police say Paradis, who was driving for a company in Lincoln, was headed south when the truck went off the road and into the median, just before 2 a.m. The upside down tractor covered both lanes of the highway, with logs scattered about, too. Police shut down that section of highway so the tractor could be flipped back over and removed. State Police, Department of Transportation crews and Pittsfield firefighters finally cleared the area about 9 a.m.
