Who says women can’t build things? Certainly not the folks at Habitat for Humanity.It’s national Women Build Week.Lowe’s is a national sponsor of the event and all 50 states are participating.A variety of different clinics are being held at Lowe’s to help women learn the basics. On Sunday they were learning how to install exterior siding. They also were taught how to install roofing shingles.The Bangor area Habitat for Humanity was one of a couple hundred affiliates that received a $5,000 gift card.” It’s really exciting. These gals have been very great, very inquisitive. Lowe’s has been there for every question and we’re looking forward to continuing on this tradition,” said Amanda Charette of Habitat for Humanity.Their next house project is in Hampden. They expect to complete the family selection by the end of this month.
