Boogie Down with Bangor Roller Derby This Friday to Benefit Spruce Run

The Bangor Roller Derby wants to take you back to the seventies.Friday, the roller derby is hosting a special benefit concert featuring the disco band Motor Booty Affair.There will also be a silent auction with a variety of items up for bids including artwork, a signed baseball by a major league player, gym memberships and adventure packages.The proceeds from the event will benefit the Spruce Run women’s shelter.”I just think that us getting together with them is a good way to continue to get their name out there especially in connection with a concert like this. It’s a good fundraiser for us and them kind of a win win on this one,” said organizer Beth Towers known as Tower of Power in the Bangor Roller Derby league.The event kicks off at 6 Friday night at Morgan Hill Event Center in Hermon.Tickets are twenty dollars and can be purchased at Bull Moose.For more information you can visit the Bangor Roller Derby’s Facebook page by searching “Bangor Roller Derby.”
