The Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport is looking for a little spring cleanup help. Organizers are hosting a cleanup and volunteer day on Saturday, May 12th to get the museum ready for another season. There’s lots of outdoor work to do, such as raking and gardening, as well as inside cleanup like sweeping, dusting and washing windows. The event runs from 8:30 a.m to 4 p.m., with breakfast and lunch provided. Be sure to bring work gloves. You’re encouraged to pre-register, too. Call Bob Holtzman at 548-2529, extension 208. The museum opens to the public May 25th.
