There was a big crowd turning out to watch the 46th Annual Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race. We knew coming into this one the water levels were very low and it would be interesting to see who braved the conditions.310 watercraft and 573 paddlers taking on the 16.5 mile course. That was the smallest field since 1985.There were a lot of competitors who chose to try and conquer the rapids, especially near Six Mile Falls. Some were successful, but others had a little bit of trouble.Your winner today, for the fifth straight year and eighth time overall, Trevor MacLean from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. MacLean finishing with a time of 3 hours, six minutes, and 2 seconds, the slowest winning time in the history of the race. We caught up with MacLean after his win, and here’s what he had to say.
