Hammond Street Congregational Church in Bangor Holds Marketplace Event 

A local church opened its doors for the community Saturday.The Hammond Street Congregational Church held a marketplace for local vendors and crafters, along with some from out of state.Folks could find a little bit of everything,pottery, jewelry and wickless candles.Church members say they like to expand beyond their doors.” Hammond Street Congregational Church is really an inner city church. We reach out to the shelter, the Shaw House, the Women’s re-entry Center. We have a lot of things we do and we need to keep our programs operating and this is a way to support our program,” said Church Member, Lynda Ryder.If you missed the event, they will host another one in the fall.
