Bangor Sculpture Could Soon Have A New Home

A Downtown Bangor sculpture is one step closer to moving after a meeting Wednesday night. The City’s Business and Economic Development Committee approved a proposal to relocate the silver sculpture in West Market Square to the Bangor Waterfront. The fountain that the sculpture sits in will be removed all together. The plan is to move the sculpture to the waterfront to free up some space for downtown events. The city already has $25,000 dollars set aside to help pay for the first phase of the relocation. The full City Council must now approve the move. That vote will happen at Monday’s City Council meeting. It starts at 7:30PM and everyone is welcome to attend.
